Welcome to the website of the Diocesan Clerical Council for Marital Affairs for the Diocese of Melbourne and Affiliated Regions (DCC).

DCC is the first point of contact for couples who were married in the Coptic Orthodox Church but, for some unfortunate reasons, separated, obtained a Civil Divorce, and wish to apply for a Permit to Remarry in the Coptic Orthodox Church (Permit).

The council has been established by His Holiness Pope Tawadros II and the Holy Synod in 2015. It is comprised of four priests in addition to the Diocese Vicar General.

The council only handles cases where both parties live within the boundaries of the Diocese of Melbourne.

If the parties live in different dioceses, the matter is referred to the Oceania & Asia Regional Clerical Council for Marital Affairs (OARCC), currently headed by His Grace Bishop Domadios, Bishop of the Diocese of 6th October and Ousim.
